First@arts, a FirstBank Initiative


First Bank of Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of FBN Holdings Plc and a prime promoter of the creative arts industry in Nigeria is keen on supporting Arts under the auspices of the First@arts initiative which is driven by the quest to promote the arts and preserve cultural heritage.

Through First@arts, FirstBank has encouraged home-grown human capacity development and enhanced the creation of employment opportunities within the arts industry, thereby creating a sustainable value chain and contributing to the growth and development of an evolving art economy in Nigeria. The Bank believes that promoting the arts and preserving contemporary culture is essential for our generation and the future generations.




To inspire talented Nigerian youths in the visual arts sphere, First Bank of Nigeria Limited sponsored the 9th edition of Life in My City visual arts festival. First Bank of Nigeria Limited has supported the Calabar Carnival 2014.

And also, For love of the Arts, FirstBank has partnered with British Council in the Lagos Theatre Festival 2016. The Festival, which first launched in 2012
